Use the Paris Museum Pass to Save on Admission Fees

Visiting Paris in France is one city where you probably will want to see quite a few museums, art galleries, monuments, and other sites of interest. Your enjoyment of Paris will be enhanced by the ability to pick and choose the museums you want to visit, and know that your entry fee is already paid.

As a major world capital and tourist destination, Paris is busy, in fact so busy that just getting around the city can be a mission in itself, and that doesn't include the long queues you'll face before you even get into the museum as you wait to buy your ticket. The Paris Museum Pass takes care of this with priority access. There is no need to queue, you simply walk to the entrance and present your card.

Offered by the Intermuseum Association of the Paris region (intermusée association), the card is available in 2, 4 and 6 day validity and gives free access to the permanent exhibits of over 60 museums in Paris and the Paris region.

Each pass lasts for only the required number of days, so it's a good idea to make sure you start using the pass early in the morning of your first day, and plan to visit all of the museums within the time allowed on your pass, for example a 4 day pass is valid for 4 days only, if a public holiday falls within the 4 days, you'll lose a day.

Despite this, the pass could save you quite a considerable amount of money compared to paying separately for each museum. If you travel as a family, the great news is that children under 18 get into most museums free, so only adults need worry about purchasing the Paris Museum Pass.

Some of the member museums include the Hôpitaux de Paris, the Louvre Museum, the Quai Branly Museum, Cité de la Musique, the Château de Versailles, the Rodin Museum, the Jewish art and history museum, and many more.
